Florence Musclow of Bancroft died after Hwy 62 crash Feb. 12

Florence Musclow, 35 years old of Bancroft, succumbed to her injuries at Kingston General Hospital as a result of the head on motor vehicle collision that occurred on 12 February 2009 on Highway 62 south of Bancroft.

 The investigation is continuing.

HEAD ON ACCIDENT SENDS TWO PERSONS TO HOSPITAL

(Bancroft, ON.) – On evening of Thursday the 12th of February 2009 Officers from the Bancroft detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police received the report of a motor vehicle collision on Highway 62 near the intersection of Quarry Road, south of the Town of Bancroft.

Police responded and found that a Dodge pickup truck and a Chevrolet mini-van had collided head on.  Investigation revealed that the pickup truck was travelling southbound on Highway 62 when it crossed the center line into the oncoming lane, striking the northbound van.

The driver of the pick-up truck, a 25 year old female of L’amable, Ontario was transported to the Bancroft hospital with non life threatening injuries. The driver of the mini-van, a 35 year of female ofBancroft, Ontario was transported to Kingston General Hospital with severe injuries.

Highway 62 was closed for approximately 6 hours to conduct the investigation and gather evidence. No charges have been laid at this time.

The investigation is continuing.
