Teenager hit by car in Bancroft; no charges laid

 (Bancroft, ON.) – On Wednesday the 01st of April 2009 at approximately 5:00 p.m. Officers from the Bancroft detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police responded to the report of a pedestrian/vehicle collision on Hastings Street North in the Town of Bancroft.  

Investigation revealed that a 13 year old female of Bancroft ran out onto the street from the west sidewalk and struck a southbound Chevrolet Cavalier operated by a 43 year old female of Bancroft.  

The pedestrian was transported to Quinte Healthcare North Hastings by ambulance for precautionary reasons and was released with no injuries.  

No charges have been laid in relation to the collision.
