Bancroft man charged with impaired driving after car crash on Hwy 28

(Bancroft, ON.)  In the evening of Friday the 05th of June 2009 the Bancroft detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police responded to the report of a single motor vehicle collision on Highway 28 near Detlor Road in the Town of Bancroft.

Officers arrived at the scene and located a Honda SUV on the guide rail.

The driver of the vehicle failed a roadside screening test, was arrested and transported to the Bancroft OPP detachment for breathalyzer tests.

A 45 year old male of Bancroft has been charged with operate a motor vehicle with more than 80 milligrams of alcohol in his blood, contrary to the Criminal Code of Canada.

The male was released from custody and is scheduled to appear in Bancroft court on the 28th of July 2009.
