THREE YOUTHS ARRESTED AFTER BREAK AND ENTER REPORTED
(Bancroft, ON.) On Tuesday the 21st of July 2009, Officers from the Bancroft detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police responded to the report of a break and enter to a residence on Hemlock Street in Cardiff, Ontario.
Investigation revealed that the owner of the residence returned home in the early afternoon and observed several youths running from the house. As a result, Officers arrested 3 youths in the area and transported them to the Bancroft OPP detachment.
A 17 year old male young person of the Municipality of Highlands East has been charged with unlawfully in a dwelling house, contrary to the Criminal Code of Canada. He has been released from custody and is scheduled to appear in Bancroft Court on the 20th of August, 2009.
A 17 year old male of Bancroft and a 16 year old male of the Municipality of Highlands East have also been charged with trespassing, contrary to the Trespass to Property Act in relation to the incident.
A 14 year old male of Cardiff was diverted under the Youth Criminal Justice Act and a 13 year old male was warned in relation to the incident.
BREAK AND ENTERS REPORTED ON PAUDASH LAKE
On Monday the 20th of July and Tuesday the 21st of July 2009, Officers from the Bancroft OPP responded to the report of three break and enters on Lewis Road in the Municipality of Highlands East.
Investigation revealed that sometime since Sunday July 12th three separate seasonal residences were forcibly entered.
The only property reported stolen is a vacuum cleaner.
