Public Speaking Results From Zone Competition

The Zone competition for public speaking, held March 26, 2011 at Royal Canadian Legion Branch 106 in Hastings, ON was a very close competition.

I have to quote Ken Demille when he said, “In my books all the children are winners.” I fully agree.

It was a difficult decision for the judges to pick the winner. Our children from Coe Hill Public School were really good. Unfortunately they didn’t place in the top three places. But they definitely were very brave to present their speeches, in front of not only a big crowd, but strangers. We are very proud of our young folks.

We hope that next year the students will participate in the public speaking contest.

Again congratulations to Brooke Medve and Josephine Rowling for going to Hastings and participating in the public speaking contest. And thanks to all the people who supported them.
