In the early evening on June 12, 2017 officers of the Bancroft Detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP), responded to a traffic complaint on Lower Faraday Rd in Faraday Twp.
Officers attempted to stop two motorcycles on the road where they failed to stop for Police.
As per the investigation, two suspects were identified and charged.
A 20-year-old from the Town of Bancroft was charged with:
- Flight while pursued by peace officer
- Dangerous operation of motor vehicle
- Driving while disqualified
- Race a motor vehicle – stunt
- Two counts of Disobey stop sign – fail to stop
- Use plate not authorized for vehicle
- Operate a motor vehicle without insurance
- Drive motor vehicle – no permit.
A 22-year-old from the Town of Bancroft was charged with:

- Race a motor vehicle – stunt

- Use plate not authorized for vehicle
