Former Coe Hill doctor’s criminal case ends abruptly

A criminal case against a former Coe Hill doctor ended with a plea of guilty to fraud in Belleville Court earlier this month.

Rob Kamermans originally faced eight charges, including fraud, money laundering and forging medical marijuana prescriptions, the Belleville Intelligencer reports.

He was sentenced to pay a $1 fine and $100,000 in restitution to the Ontario Health Insurance Plan,

All other charges against Kamermans and his wife Mary were withdrawn.
