BANCROFT – On Saturday the 31st of March 2012, the Bancroft detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) received the report of a mischief on Old Snow Road in the Town of Bancroft. Several maple syrup buckets were damaged in the area. Anyone with information about this mischief is encouraged to contact the Bancroft OPP at 613-332-2112 or CRIMESTOPPERS at 1-800-222-8477.

Ontario Provincial Police press release BANCROFT – On Tuesday the 20th of March 2012, the Bancroft detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) received the report of mischief to buildings in the Town of Bancroft. Sometime overnight graffiti was sprayed on several buildings in the area of Billa Street and Hastings Street North near McCaskie TV and Stereo. Graffiti was also found at the Skateboard Park and Mr. Video on Cleak Avenue. Anyone with information about these incidents is encouraged to contact the Bancroft OPP at 613-332-2112 or CRIMESTOPPERS at 1-800-222-8477.

Ministry of Natural Resources press release March 1, 2011 PETERBOROUGH – An Asphodel-Norwood man has been fined a total of $2500 for a number of deer hunting offences. After pleading guilty to all charges, George Christopoulos was fined $1,000 for unlawfully hunting an antlerless deer without a licence, $500 for unlawfully attaching a game seal to an antlerless deer, and $1000 for unlawfully possessing illegally killed wildlife.
