BANCROFT — Provincial police raided a property along Hartsmere Road on Wed., Aug. 26 where offiers seized weapons and 600 marijuana plants. Bancroft officers, along with tactical and drug officers executed a warrant at house on the property near Weslemkoon Lake. An outdoor marijuana grow operation was discovered, police report. Officers also found two shotguns –  one of which was loaded — inside the home. The firearms and a crossbow were seized. COE HILL — If you know about yoga, children’s drama, theatre sports, mountain biking or snowshoeing, Wollaston Township might want to hire you. The township recently received a $68,200 provincial grant to fund local community activities that promoting health across Wollaston, Limerick and Tudor and Cashel Townships, and in partnership with the Hastings Prince Edward public school board. COE HILL — Wollaston Township and area is getting $68,000 to pay for workshops intended to help people start healthy community programs and activities. All details haven’t yet been finalized about how the Ontario “Rural Outreach Program” money will be spent, says Maryann Post, the local recreation program coordinator. LIMERICK Twp- Someone took solar panels and batteries from construction warning signs along Highway 62, south of old Highway 620, over the weekend. Mon., July 12, 2010, Bancroft provincial police were called to the work area in Limerick and Tudor townships. Sometime between Fri., July 9 and the morning of Mon., July 12,  solar panels, batteries and inverters from roadside message boards were stolen, police report. TUDOR & CASHEL – In the afternoon of July 7, 2010, police responded to a noise complaint on Glanmire Lake Road, north of Madoc. A male was warned regarding excessively loud music coming from the property for several hours, Central Hastings OPP say in a press release. Police were again called to the property at 11 p.m. that night. A 49 year old man from the township was arrested at the scene. He will appear in Belleville court mid August charged with mischief – interfering with the lawful use, enjoyment or operation of property.

Centre Hastings OPP press release MILLBRIDGE – Sometime between the 9th of June and the 13th of June a residence on Stoney Settlement Road, Tudor and Cashel, was broken into. The front door was forced open. Stolen property includes an orange Stihl chainsaw, DVD player, various DVDs, alcohol, and some American coins. TUDOR & CASHEL Twp. — On Sunday the 23rd of May 2010 the Bancroft OPP received the report of a break and enter on Gunter Lake Road in the Municipality of Tudor and Cashel. Investigation revealed that a seasonal residence was forcibly entered and tools and DVD player were stolen. TUDOR & CASHEL Twp – Police investigated a domestic disturbance early Monday morning, May 24, 2010. While travelling from a seasonal residence on Skene Road, Marmora to Glanmire Lane, Tudor and Cashel an intoxicated male was verbally abusive and physically assaultive towards the female victim, pinching and grabbing her. Once at the cottage the male continued his behaviour, throwing a drink at her and pushing her, and yelling and screaming.
