Peterborough men hurt when ATVs crashed on Saturday

Bancroft OPP press release BANCROFT — On Saturday the 22nd of May 2010, Officers from the Bancroft detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police responded to the report of an ATV vehicle collision on an ATV trail in the Municipality of Highlands East. Investigation revealed that a Honda ATV entered a turn, skidded off the trail, overturned and ejected the driver. A Suzuki ATV that was following the Honda braked to avoid the collision causing it to skid off the trail, overturn and eject the driver.

OPP press release A mild spring has opened up Ontario’s waterways and many are eager to get their boating season started. Tragically, in the past week, two fatal boating incidents have been investigated by the Ontario Provincial Police. COE HILL — Bus service for North Hastings and Highlands East is set to start today. The re-branded Handi-Bus service is now called The Rural Overland Utility Transit – TROUT for short. Click here to see a story from Bancroft This Week about the program. A launch is set for 3 p.m. today in Millenium Park in Bancroft, according to an advertisement in the Bancroft Times. Suzuki ATV stolen from garage in Highlands East

Bancroft OPP press release BANCROFT — On Wednesday the 21st of April 2010 Officers from the Bancroft detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police responded to the report of a break and enter on Redwood Lane in the Municipality of Highlands East. Investigation revealed that a garage had been forcibly entered. A black Suzuki LTX ATV was reported stolen.
