Ontario Provincial Police press release LIMERICK Twp — On Friday the 17th of February 2012, the Bancroft OPP were dispatched to a collision at the intersection Highway 62 and Steenburg Lake North Road in Limerick Township involving a Ford pickup truck and a Toyota SUV. Investigation revealed that the truck was stopped at Steenburg Lake Road North, and then pulled onto Highway 62, striking the Toyota SUV. Ontario Provincial Police press release HAVELOCK – Police are investigating two thefts from vehicles in the village this week. On Wednesday January 18, 2012 Provincial Police responded to a Theft at a Fire Route 65 address north of the Village of Havelock. BANCROFT – On the morning of Monday May 02nd 2011, Officers from the Bancroft detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police were dispatched to the report of a tractor trailer collision on Highway 28 east in the Town of Bancroft. The truck was travelling west bound on Highway 28 near Lakeview Road when it entered the north ditch and rolled onto its’ side. The 48 year old male driver of Burgessville, Ontario did not sustain any injuries as a result of the collision. No charges have been laid.

HAVELOCK-BELMONT-METHUEN Twp. – Damage hasn’t yet been tallied after trespassers on all-terrain vehicles and pickup trucks tore up a grass landing strip near Oak Lake. The runway along Fire Route 65 was damaged sometime between Wed., Aug. 4, 2010 and when the trespassing was discovered Fri., Aug. 6, 2010, Peterborough provincial police report. Police say they have no leads at this time and the investigation is continuing.
