Knife involved in threats, dangerous driving north of Coe Hill, say Bancroft OPP

In the late morning of Saturday the 14th of March 2009 the Bancroft OPP responded to the report of a driving complaint on Highway 28 in the Township of Faraday.

Investigation revealed that a vehicle was passing a Chevrolet Cavalier when the Cavalier swerved at the passing vehicle.

The driver of the Cavalier also held a knife out the window and shook it at the occupants of the passing vehicle.

Police located the Cavalier in the Town of Bancroft and arrested a male in relation to the incident.

A 49 year old male of Faraday Township has been charged with dangerous operation of a motor vehicle, breach of probation and utter threats contrary to the Criminal Code of Canada.

The male was released from custody and is scheduled to appear in Bancroft court on the 21st of April 2009.
