Bids are expected to be opened and considered Sept. 16, 2009.

Provincial highway officials say the work is intended to start this year, on the rebuilding of the Beaver Creek Bridge.  Then 17.4 kilometres of highway work follows in 2010, between 30 metres south of old Hwy 620 and 5.3 kilometres north of Cleveland Road.

The project includes repaving the Ormsby highway works yard, a new route for Hwy 62  at Beaver Creek and a new culvert at South Jordan River.

Highway 62 again leads the local voting in the Canadian Automobile Association’s worst roads poll.
