OPP raid marijuana grow-op between Apsley and Coe Hill

opp-logoOn the 22nd of September 2009 the OPP Central Drug Enforcement members along with the OPP K9 Unit executed a Drug Search Warrant at an O’Brien Road residence in North Kawartha Township.

At the property Officers located 317 large outdoor marijuana plants.

In the residence Officers located and seized 149 grams marihuana bud, three long guns, large amount of assorted ammunition and a loaded 22cal handgun.

Officer encounter three persons in the residence of the home and one male party in the outdoor grow operation. All parties were arrested without incident.

Charged with Production of Cannabis Marihuana is Brock Snider (58yrs), Darlene Snider (50yrs) and James Snider (27yrs) of Hamilton Township.

A third male, Elroy Trimble (56yrs) has been charged with Production of Cannabis Marihuana and Firearm Offences.

All parties were released on an Appearance Notice with court set for October 2009. Police estimate the potential value of drugs seized at $319,235.00

Investigation is continuing.
