COE HILL – In case you hadn’t noticed, fall’s arrival this week brought along its annual forest colour show.

The change in colour of leaves is well underway, says www.ontariotravel.net.  Here’s the most “Fall Colour Report” issued Sept. 25, 2009 for Eastern Ontario:

The Belleville and Prince Edward County area, in particular the drive along Highway 33, is now showing early colour and a 20% change.

We are starting to see some nice colour in the Kawartha Lakes region with a 30 to 40% colour change and some nice pockets of bright red and orange, in and around Peterborough.

The Pembroke area is reporting a 25% early colour change. Highways 60, 62, 515, 512, 514 and County Road 64 will be especially nice in the next week or so.
