Minor injuries reported after 2-car crash in Bancroft

BANCROFT — On Wednesday the 17th of March 2010, Officers from the Bancroft detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police responded to the report of a motor vehicle collision at the intersection of Bridge Street and Mill Street in the Town of Bancroft.

Investigation revealed that a Honda SUV was travelling west bound on Bridge Street and stopped to turn south onto Mill Street. A Ford van that was also travelling west on Bridge Street, struck the rear of the Honda.

The driver of the SUV, a 50 year old female of Bancroft, Ontario was transported to Quinte Healthcare North Hastings with minimal injuries.

The female driver of the van, 30 year old Rachel Dillon of Haliburton, Ontario and the passenger an 11 year old male also from Haliburton did not sustain any injuries. Ms. Dillon has been charged with follow too closely, contrary to the Highway Traffic Act.
