Bancroft OPP deal with two suspected drinking drivers

BANCROFT — On Saturday the 29th of May 2010 Officers from the Bancroft detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police responded to the report of a motor vehicle collision on Highway 28 in Faraday Township.

Officers attended the scene and located a Volkswagen car in the ditch with no damage. The adult male driver was arrested for having care and control of a motor vehicle while impaired and transported to the Bancroft OPP detachment for an intoxilyzer test.

41 year old Michael Low of Oakville, Ontario has been charged with impaired operation of a motor vehicle and operate a motor vehicle with over 80 milligrams of alcohol in his blood, contrary to the Criminal Code of Canada. Mr. Low was released from custody and is scheduled to appear in Bancroft court on the 13th of July 2010.

ATV DRIVER CHARGED WITH SEVERAL OFFENCES

On Sunday the 30th of May 2010 an Officer from the Bancroft OPP initiated a traffic stop on Highway 28 in Carlow – Mayo Township.

An Arctic Cat ATV was travelling on Highway 28, then turned onto Bessemer Road. The ATV failed to negotiate a turn and stopped on a bank. The adult male driver was arrested and transported to the Bancroft OPP detachment for an intoxilyzer test.

23 year old Ryan Rallison of Carlow – Mayo Township has been charged with impaired operation of a motor vehicle, operate a motor vehicle with over 80 milligrams of alcohol, drive disqualified, dangerous driving and flight from police, contrary to the Criminal Code of Canada.

Mr. Rallison was released from custody and is scheduled to appear on Bancroft court on the 13th of July 2010.
