Two cottages broken into near Apsley, OPP says

NORTH KAWARTHA Twp. – Burglars broke in the door of a cottage near Apsley and ransacked it.

Peterborough Provincial Police were called to a reported break-in on Fire Route 58B just west of Apsley on Wed., July 21, 2010.

A private contractor spotted someone had entered the cottage and immediately called police.

Officers found a nearby cottage was also broken into.

No estimate of damage or lost items is yet available, as the investigation continues, police say in a press release.
