COE HILL – The stone walrus in front of the Wollaston Township hall has a name.

He’s now officially “Mr. Wally Stone,” a name entered in a contest by  Darlene Jackson. She won four tickets to the Coe Hill Wild West Weekend July 30 and Aug. 1 at the fairgrounds.

The artwork is on loan from the Bancroft Bancroft & District Chamber of Commerce. It will stay on display in Coe Hill until the chamber asks for his return, says township chief administrative officer Christine FitzSimons.
