Electronic waste collection day in Coe Hill Saturday, Sept. 11

A pile of e-waste awaits recycling and disposal.

COE HILL — Dig out that old television that hasn’t worked for a year and take it to an electronic waste collection day at the Wollaston Township works yard Sat., Sept. 11, 2010.

Electronic waste – like dead stereos and useless computers — can be left for safe disposal 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. in the yard at 90 Wollaston Lake Rd.

Only household waste will be accepted, not commercial or industrial waste.

For more information about what you can dispose of, view www.dowhatyoucan.ca

There’s also a household hazardous waste day open to Wollaston Township residents on Sat., Sept. 25, 2010.  Bring your township waste site pass along when you bring your old paints and chemicals to the Bancroft Public Works Yard, 125 Monck St., Bancroft.
