Police raid $10M marijuana grow op near Havelock

HAVELOCK-BELMONT-METHUEN Twp. — Two Toronto-area men were arrested when provincial police raided a 10,000 plant outdoor marijuana grow operation north of Havelock on Thurs., Sept. 9, 2010.

OPP say a two-week investigation led them to a property along Peterborough County  Rd. 44 where pot plants were ready for harvest.  Police say they had a value of $10 million.

A man from Toronto and another from Markham, ages 46 and 41, were arrested in a vehicle leaving the property when police arrived.  They were charged with production of a controlled substance for the purpose of trafficking.
