Man missing from Detlor Road home in Bancroft

UPDATE #2 — OPP report the autopsy has confirmed the identidy of the body was Randy Lazier, and that no foul play was involved in his death.

UPDATE:  On Tuesday, September 21, 2010, at approximately 4 p.m. a body was discovered by a member of the public in a wooded area near Detlor Road, south of Bancroft.

The remains have been transported to the Chief Coroner’s Office in Toronto to confirm identification and determine a cause of death. The Bancroft OPP Crime Unit is continuing the investigation.

BANCROFT – Provincial police looking for man missing since Sept. 9, 2010 from the Detlor Road area.

Mon., Sept. 20, 2010, Bancroft OPP were contacted about a missing person.

Randy Lazier, 21, walked away from a residence on Detlor Road in Bancroft on Thurs., Sept. 9. Family and friends have not seen or heard from him since then.

Randy Lazier is approximately 5 foot, 10 inches tall, with a thin build, brown hair and blue eyes. He was last seen wearing a black sweater, blue jeans, a white ball cap and white and gold shoes.
