Santa visiting Marmora, Bancroft and Apsley this weekend

COE HILL — With snow in the air – and on the ground – Christmas isn’t far away.

While a Santa Claus parade is in the works for 12:30 p.m. on Sat., Dec. 18, 2010 in Coe Hill, the jolly old elf will be in the area this weekend, too:

– the Marmora and Lake Santa Claus Parade is set for 2 p.m. Dec. 4, 2010, at the Marmora Fairgrounds. Information: 613-472-1515 or t.choinard@marmoraandlake.ca

– The Bancroft Santa Claus Parade starts: 2:30 p.m. Sat., Dec. 4, 2010. For information about the parade through downtown, contact Bancroft Lions Club 613-332-4372 or  bancroft@town.bancroft.on.ca

– Apsley festivities start Dec. 4, 2010 at 6:30 p.m. with the lighting of a community Christmas tree at the Royal Bank/Royal LePage building, says www.thebearfacts.ca. The Apsley Santa Claus parade starts at 2 p.m. Sun., Dec. 5, at the public school and heads down Burleigh Street and ending at the old community centre.
