COE HILL – A “Hope for the Holidays” service is planned at St. Andrews United Church, Coe Hill. 2:00 p.m. Sunday, December 12
The holiday season is an emotional time. The constant refrain on radio and television about the happiness of the season; the gatherings of family and friends, can bring up feelings of sadness to those for whom Christmas will not be so merry. Those who have lost a loved one or find the holidays particularly difficult need time apart to acknowledge their sadness, to remember and to mark the season of light among others who care and understand.
For this reason, the people of Coe Hill. St. Ola and The Ridge United Churches are offering a special “Hope for the Holidays” service on Sunday, Dec., 12 at 2 p.m. at St. Andrews in Coe Hill.
The service will be a quiet time of prayer, scripture and music to acknowledge that God’s presence is for those who mourn and for those who struggle-and that God’s Word comes to shine light into our darkness.
There will be an opportunity to light a candle of remembrance and a time of light refreshments and fellowship following the service.
Everyone is most welcome.
